About the artist:
Born 02.02.1923 village Constantinovka (now Mariynskiy district of Donetsk region) – Died 19.03.2009, Kiev. Painter, member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine since 1974, Holder of the title “Honored Artist of Ukrainian SSR, (from 1974). World War II participant. Entered Lugansk School of Art (1937), continued his studies after demobilization (1947). Graduated from the Kiev Institute of Art, where he studied under V. Kasiyan, I. Pleschinskii, and N. Khmelko (1955). Worked in the poster genre. Author of picturesque paintings.
Contributed to numerous all-Union, republican exhibitions and abroad (including Advanced Biennale in Venice in 1960). Works: posters: "Glory to the heroes of Perekop" (1955), "Wider Step on Our Fields ..." (1959), "Nobody is Forgotten" (1973); stained glass window in the House of Culture, village Vergunov, Cherkassy region; landscapes "Sednev Winter" (1982), "Warm Autumn" (1984), "Winter," "On the Wide Meadow" (both in 1985), "In the Crimean Mountains" (1991), "The Sea Shore near Ochakov" (1992) "Boat" (1993).
