About the artist:

Born 27.08.1926, village Lihovka (now Dnepropetrovsk region) – Died 15 09.2008, Dneprodzerzhinsk. Painter, one of the founders of the industrial landscape genre. Member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine (from 1964). Honored Artist of Ukraine (from 2006). Studied under M. Panin, N. Pogrebnyak and A. Kuko at the Dnepropetrovsk School of Art (1946 - 1951). Taught at the art studio of the Palace of Pioneers in Dniprodzerzhyns'k (1951-1956). Contributed to regional and national art exhibitions (from 1946). Works: "Outskirts" (1958), "Three Wells", "At the construction of Dneper HPP" (both in 1960), "Shevchenko’s Oak" (1962), "Before the Storm" (1972), "Buckwheat Flowers" (1973) , "Channel Dnepr - Donbas" (1975), "Red Trees" (1983), "Quiet day" (1986), "Golden Autumn" (1998), "Lake of Love", "Autumn" (both in 2004) etc.
